This pen is manufactured in Japan and sold by Pilot North America.
It has been discontinued in Japan for a long time, so many people have been looking for it.

It features a thicker body and a wider, contoured grip than the Dr. Grip.

Most "300 series" refills from various manufacturers, such as FriXion Knock, Zebra SARASA, and Pentel EnerGel, are compatible.
This allows you to freely change refills from extra-fine to bold, including different colors.
The genuine replacement refill is Pilot's standard "G2" type.
These are widely available in Japan.

Fountain pens and mechanical pencils are great, but do give gel ballpoint pens a try!
